Becoming A Qualified Instructor at Wirraway
A Certificate III in Outdoor Recreation qualifies you to work in a variety of areas at the level where you can run activities in a routine situation under indirect supervision. This certificate is achievable at Wirraway through practical and theoretical training. The training includes climbing, archery, low ropes, bush walking and other activities that require safe practice and team work skills. The qualification is essentially a ‘hands on’ process, with some paperwork, online learning and homework (theory sessions are held one session each week of term). The practical learning is mostly done ‘on-the-job’ where students are supervised and feedback is provided to help them develop their skills. The qualifications for the horse area training are set up slightly differently, contact us to discuss this if you are interested in this area. For further information click this link for our brochure.
