Sponsorship Scheme
For those who wish to sponsor a camper, or donate to Wirraway:
Donations of $2 and over are tax deductible.
You may sponsor a camper who otherwise would not be able to afford to come to camp (usually this is used for school holiday camps, though we do offer schools from low socio-economic areas reductions of their fees in special circumstances).
Also, we are always happy to receive donations towards the many projects that we have on hold, as we normally do not go ahead until we can fully pay for any work/new activity we undertake. Currently we need to find a substantial amount to pay for new staff accommodation, which will be for the full time single staff, and will include students’ rooms for those who come to us for 12 months to do Certificate III in Outdoor Recreation at Wirraway Training. The current rooms need replacement, so this is a big project for us. We keep our fees to a minimum to ensure all who want to come to a Wirraway camp will be able to afford to attend, but this means we depend on you for support of capital projects (or buying new horses/setting up new activities etc.)
Remember the deductions are tax deductible….please contact the Wirraway Office 8536 6063 or send a cheque (Box 209, Strathalbyn 5255) to us including the name you want the receipt to be made out to, and your address.
Morialta Trust
This year the Morialta Trust has given us significant funds to help with camps fees for those on lower incomes. This will mean reduction of camp fees on Musters – the amount of the reduction will depend on the length of the camp and be available for those with pension cards or health care cards. Please contact our office if you require some more information about this (or enquire when you book for a camp).
