Friends of Wirraway
What is ‘Friends of Wirraway’?
Friends of Wirraway are a group of adults that have a connection to Wirraway. This connection began in the past either through camping, volunteering or working on staff at Wirraway. Whatever our connection, we value the input that Wirraway has made in our lives and the lives of young people and we want to have a role in supporting this ministry.
Some of us are able to do practical tasks or to help with special fundraising projects, some may just have a social interest or perhaps a desire to keep the spiritual fires burning through prayer and encouragement. If you would like to be a part of the Friends of Wirraway team please let us know and we will keep you informed of our group’s activities through the website, phone or via email.
To be a part of our group, participants need to be over 18 years old and support the spiritual beliefs and ministry of Wirraway.

The Latest Project
Our last project was a day of pulling apart a wooden compost heap at the Arnotts’ house in Strathalbyn and putting it back together up at Wirraway as a visual shield for the manure heap near the horse arenas. It looks great and now the manure does not spoil the beautiful view there! We had the opportunity to use a really big tractor (lots of fun) and then see who was the most particular with their building skills!
See the photos below for an example of the crew and the work acheived. (refresh the page for more photos)
The Next Event
Our next event will be a family day in late October. Details to be confirmed shortly or send us an email and we will keep in touch with you.
